Sigrid Payne DaVeiga

Sigrid Payne DaVeiga began her ballet and dance training at Canyon Concern Ballet in Colorado at a very young age. She danced all over the country performing in Philadelphia, Chicago, Cleveland and Washington DC. Her passion for teaching and inspiring young dancers began at The Georgetown School of Ballet, under the mentorship of Brooke Desnoes, the founder and director of the Academie Americaine de Danse de Paris. Sigrid taught and became the director of the early childhood ballet program at the Georgetown School of Ballet for four years until moving to Chicago and then Cleveland and taught in dance studios throughout those areas as well. Sigrid conducted a virtual Preballet class from 2020-2021 during the height of the pandemic and loves thinking of innovative ways to bring passion for dance to the youngest dancers. She also writes reviews of The Pennsylvania Ballet and BalletX productions for Critical Dance Magazine.
